Claims

Report your claim, and know what to document before the adjuster arrives.

Report your flood claim below and a licensed specialist will follow up. If your home is still unsafe, call 855-CAL-FLOOD (225-3566) instead — do not wait on a form.

Three things to do before you fill this out

  1. Make sure it is safe. Do not enter a flooded building until authorities permit it.
  2. Photograph everything before you clean. Wide shots of every room, the high-water line, and damaged items with their model and serial numbers. This documentation is the foundation of the claim.
  3. Do not throw anything away yet. If sanitation crews haul damaged belongings off first, the adjuster has nothing to document.

What happens next

Your carrier assigns an adjuster who will inspect the building and your contents separately. Before that visit, read preparing for your flood adjuster’s visit — particularly the five things to settle before the adjuster leaves.
